Thursday July 24th - The Grand Tetons

Lisa's Best Picture of the Day

We fell asleep sometime after midnight (2 a.m. our time).
Bill woke me up at 4:30 a.m. to photograph the stupid sunrise.
(just kidding, it was glorious)
Later we visited the Cunningham Homestead site (see video)
and then hiked up Paintbrush Canyon Trail.

We did and saw so much on our first day
we thought maybe we should pack up
and fly back home.

As the sun rose in the east and a storm blew in from the west
the light on the Wyoming prairie was stunning.

Grand Teton Sunrise

This morning we left our room at 4:30 a.m.
and traveled to the Snake River Overlook
to photograph the sunrise on the east face of the Grand Tetons.

While we were there a storm blew over from the west.

It was so amazing!

Sun rising in the east, storm rising in the west.

We're There

At the Jackson, Wyoming airport there are no roll-out,
jet bridge walkways.

They bring out some stairs and you walk down onto the runway
and into the terminal.

Cool!

Here's Lisa after 9 hours of travel.

I'm in line getting our rental car.

Lisa just always looks great!
