We took a break from our active days.

Mid-afternoon we walked some trails near the lodge,

photographed the lush rainforest,

and spotted a Blacktail Doe and her Fawn...

We drove from Port Angeles, Washington

to Olympic National Park

where we stayed in one of the

Roosevelt Cottages at
Lake Crescent Lodge...

The lodge common room was great...

Our first hike was to Marymere Falls...

From Marblemount, Washington to
Port Angeles (just east of Olympic National Park),

via the Coupeville to Port Townsend Ferry

We began to experience the misty weather
of the Pacific Northwest

We had lunch and a walk in the seaside village of

Coupeville, Washington...

We visited Fort Casey State Park and Admiralty Head Light

then took the ferry to Port Townsend, Washington...

We left Many Glacier in the morning...

...and traveled to Omak, Washington,

on the eastern edge of

North Cascades National Park
